Ryan is driven by the human experience and is specifically drawn to spaces that entice people to spend more time outdoors. He is particularly enamored by the Bay area’s variable climate zones; unique horticultural environments that allow for plant species from all over the world to thrive.

Ryan is interested in the curiosities of design and finds experimentation essential to the process of creating custom interactive experiences. His favorite methods of creative expression include sketching and drawing.

Outside of work, Ryan enjoys staying active in sports like rugby and basketball. He can also be found at baseball games and wandering Oakland neighborhoods checking out residential gardens.
